This means having good quality paper and the right size envelope and the right cost of the stamps available too.

For the parts of your application which need to be more customised, you can still create templates into which you can quickly put the relevant information. This means setting up the margins, spacing and fonts for a covering application letter and putting in an auto-update date and your contact information, in between which you can simply type the information which relates to the job you are applying for.

Also make sure that you have your referees on hand too as you don’t want to have to waste time tracking down three people who will vouch for you. You will also need to take the time to make sure they will make suitable referees too.
